Caricatures:nigaoe

Nigaoe (knee-gah-OH-eh) means “resembling face drawing” in Japanese. Sui has drawn nigaoe, or caricatures, at the Woodland Park Zoo and Pike Place Market in Seattle, WA since 2013. Caricatures are a great way to spread smiles and encourage self-love in a humorous, but often also heart-touching approach.

Tradition:Nengajyo

Traditional new years cards, called nengajyo (NEN-gah-joe), are sent to family and friends to show your continuing care for them. Since 2011, Sui has drawn their own modern take of the Jyuunishi Japanese zodiac animals and designed them into postcards.
